The conversation around biological sex is everywhere in modern trans activism, along with continual argumentative fallacies.
This is the Motte and Bailey. Arguments where more extreme demands are dismissed and denied as being true, and the case is recentred to appear more reasonable and thus defended as something far less contentious. It's also a necessity to save face and to portray opponents as wilfully misrepresenting you when the ludicrous position is likely to be seen for what it is.
We will be told 'no one is trying to erase biology!' 'Trans people understand biology better than anyone!' However, the treatment of 'truscum'- that is trans people who acknowledge reality, is telling.
First, they begin with conflating sex and gender. Real feminism tends to reject gender as a pernicious social construct.
I mean, they accuse us of not knowing, but then actually reference "Gender Assigned at Birth".
'Woman' is, by definition, an adult human female.
They claim it is a gender, thereby the fallacy emerges as they can say they aren't denying that biological sex is real, but that anyone can self identify into the gender 'woman'.
Then, they'll claim any definition is a fascist tool of instilling social value.
Once 'woman' becomes a subjective identity, they turn their sights to 'female'. The ravenous mass misappropriation of words will never be sated.
There's so much material here I'm only going to be evidencing the claims of sex not existing, existing in multiple states or being changeable. Possibly I'll later on delve into the appalling misappropriation and weaponising of Differences of Sexual Development and the real culprits here; those headlines and opinion pieces dressed as fact, which do so much harm.
