This mother reaches out for advice. Her child is male. They came out as trans less than a year ago and only present in female stereotypical clothes when alone in their bedroom.
The mother is against non-essential surgery. She is also aware that it cannot cure all of her child's angst.
She has supported a change of name and pronouns, has bought 'girl clothes' and affirmed, except for going as far as medical intervention. Again, this child won't even walk around the house in this clothing, let alone commit to going out in the world, but these people think medical intervention is essential.
It sounds like a fairly typical teenage distress in many ways. Mother is shut out, kid is sullen, un-communicative and demanding. However the mention of the word 'trans' means all normal parenting is condemned
This poor woman is trying to find advice and community. Here are the responses (the mother's name is redacted with blue);
'She'll kill herself!'
The mother tries, again, and gets this...
'Both my children identify as trans, it's no big deal'
Someone talks sense, and is set upon. The idea surgery and hormones are necessary, when this kid won't even present as a trans girl in public, is ignored entirely.
The mother reiterates her beliefs:
Puberty blockers, then cross sex hormones by age 15, is life saving;
Completely different, unlikely sounding story;
'You will come home to a dead child'
There's no attacking here!
So, there we go, folks. Parental support in the land of genderwang
