JK Rowling and her 'transphobic' attacks
It's official now, all the headlines have said it for months: JK Rowling is a bit of a sly transphobic cow, and her concern trolling is so transparent. It's the same for all the TERFs - they hate trans people.

Trouble is, for a long, long time women have lived and moved alongside transsexual women without much trouble.
|
Russel williams |
This probably has to do with the tiny numbers of people actually prepared to transition surgically, and their attention to social cues and wish to live quietly and not upset anyone.

No swords, threats and mirror posing selfies involved. People moving on with their lives as best they can, generally being nice to each other, with the aggressors, whether they be sexually predatory or violent, being recognised throughout as male.We all know this, surely? Why do trans women want to access women's spaces? It's at least partly cos men are the danger, yeah?
Apparently, this is a terrible, anti feminist lie.

To assign behaviors to men by pointing out it is they we are raped and murdered by, that's sexist!

As for the single line in a detective novel which says the murderer wore a wig and woman's coat as a way to avoid suspicion and disguise himself, that's just sick.
Buffalo Bill is a fictional character, Joanne...
I mean, tranvestism as a paraphilia is never present in murderers!

Not here. Nor here. Or here. It's a dead end, a tragic old trope and that is that. |

So, now we know how ridiculous a stereotype it is, they compare the division between male and female to that between black people and white people, and then you can see how wrong it is!

Even though there is no comparison.
Even though no race commits 97%+ of sexual offences.

Not all men - for sure (although it's categorically insane that so called feminists are now chanting this).

But, also, not all comparisons. You're sounding a little bit TRAcist.
Nope. Nah. No. Bollocks. Lies. Lies, they say! Trans women are women.

The idea that any remnants of masculine superiority could lie within those brave males who utter those three little words 'I'm a woman' but retain their 'lady dick' - that's disgusting, inhuman.
Brenda Shmalfeldt
Even though what she said was nuanced, expressed understanding and compassion for trans people, and that even many 'TERFs' care for trans people they know, have compassion and sympathy for those who are gender non conforming, or suffer dysphoria - it is anathema to those making their point by burning JK Rowling at the stake.
To suggest that self identification alone is not on a parallel to those who medically and surgically transition, well, how very dare you?
First, it's pretty telling the response from this, frighteningly large, element of trans rights activists is so filled with a sort of gleeful, triumphant rage at the idea that they have scared a woman, maybe exercised some ancient power over them. Hmm, which kind of power dynamics might this be categorised under?

As a woman who's had to rely on places where admission to trans women is particularly sensitive (prison; mental health units; hostels, women's refuges etc) and who's experienced multiple sexual assaults I'm massively grateful to her. We dont get much of a voice, sometimes we're not even regarded as women in the way more represented, better dressed women are. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but it's scary enough not having any control over your living environment, especially when you're traumatised. We know the rights fought for trans people have been abused by men seeking a new way to access and prey upon women. Why, for fuck's sake, can't we talk about it?

Full disclosure here, I can't be bothered with expending a single fuck over measuring my words anymore. This blog is my polemics and assorted uncomfortable facts.
Giving painstaking thought as to how I articulate myself, reiterating at the start of every point how I feel compassion for, or solidarity with trans and/or dysphoric people, or how I've seen many things in life that are genuinely shocking and wearing unconventional dress or presenting as the opposite sex doesn't bother me - it never matters. These people dont give a fuck about your actual thoughts or beliefs, they're just too livid at your non-compliance to even see you as an individual. They don't want to counter contrary ideas, they just immediately form an in and out group, labelling you to try ensure anything you say is invalid and motivated by hatred.
It is they who 'erase the existence' of the most vulnerable. So, fuck it.
Trans Rights Activists are often not even trans (think the excruciating, pitiful Benjamin Butterworth, Emma Watson, Owen Jones and other narcissistic pricks) (*no, 'non-binary' isn't fuckin trans) and they try to speak for trans people (unless those trans people have outed themselves as self aware, as inconvenient, as 'truscum' - thus they can be ErAsEd and their eXisTeNcE DeNiEd!!) - To me, this whole pitiful pit of wailing is about the existentialist angst of a load of well fed, well qualified, well brought up fuckwits gazing into the void that is their own hole.
I don't believe ANYONE who's known real suffering or ostracism wields their purported victimhood as their most prized asset. Generally speaking we have other things to say when we finally scale the great barracades and reach the mic. Trans people are not included in this necessarily at all. This is about the autogynephiles outraged by pushback, the poncey little wankers who thinks wearing an earring on the other side is radical, alà schoolyard gaydar rumours, and some other unfortunates whipped up by their propaganda. People who believe trans people are murdered disproportionately and get beaten up every other day.
I know trans women who I do actually perceive to be women. This is not about 'passing' - it's about their solidarity with us, their implicit understanding that our fears are not to be dismissed. They laugh alongside us at viral posts on how convincingly sad or enraged some trans person seems to be about an essay they never read. Front and centre to these posts is the photos, for contrived gasping at how well they pass, as if that encapsulates the whole debate. As if saying 'I look like a woman - a pretty one!' is all we should need to stop whinging. As if it is a good faith representation of the issues.
These transwomen who stand in solidarity know it's trash. They're not so swayed by a passing trans woman and list of fallacious points. These transwomen are angry, like I am, as they see the degradation of those they identify with.
Grandiose hyperbolics on how 'hurtful' it is to not be outright accepted is a terrible tell. It gives it away - you do not understand what it is to need a same sex space.
Of course, I can say the samey for the middle class, helicopter-parented, lib-fem who heard a talk at uni 'that, really, like, got me' by a Jess Bradley type. They dont have a clue either - but they may have at least the foundation of it.
The looks when our breasts emerge, the vicious, bewildering shaming, the fear when alone, or with men. They've been very protected, but still not as much as I would want them to be. They internalise the bad stuff and feel they've joined a newer, braver, stronger world, allying themselves with those very shouty men and doing all the bows and curtsies and emotional labour required to be safe.
They kick the chairs from under us TERFs thinking they are one with the rainbow mafia. The poor, gullible things.
You really would need a decent dose of DMT to read all JK Rowling wrote and concoct this hissy fit on your own time.
Chinese whispers took her words to the most paranoid parts of the worst brains, while they listened to nothing but Barney the Dinosaur and suffered the occasional waterboarding.
It's the most dishonest demonising, all the while countless misrepresented stories are fed and some very salient facts are withheld.
The edifice of lies, this incessant squealing of underdog-performing, entitled supremacy, it's just ugly, egotistical narcissism. It stands in the way, forcing those on either side into parodies of TERF and Tru-scum. It's reinforced daily by a media who purport to represent feminism, or the left, while they consistently present psychopathic criminals as endangered victims.
It erases our identities, by dint of its inability to conceive of nuance, of anything which doesn't fit into a snappy slogan which can pass for passionate, self-made political opinion.
We are meaningless, dull and irrelevant to them.
JK Rowling, she's very rich, meaning she has no right to speak. This is everywhere - the 'former billionaire' Ryan-John Butcher speaks of is formerly a billionaire because of her charitable donations. Those who condemn the 'cishet white woman' who apparently can't speak on trans politics see no problem with the complete erasure of women on their own panels, shortlists or media debates on same sex spaces.
Even politicians are terrified of angering the mob
No, transition doesnt end with a name change, a legal fiction, a new wardrobe. What shallow, commercial, superficial shit is this? Are there seriously people reading this who think these men cosplaying as lesbians, and pressuring lesbians for sex, is ok?
Is this ☝️ ok?
*more examples at the bottom of the page
No, transition doesn't work for everyone. We know social contagion among adolescent girls is a well documented phenomenon. We have surgeons advertising their quick fix de-secondary-sexing of girls on Instagram.
Surgeons who laugh at the idea of counselling beforehand, and who have done double mastectomies on 12 yr olds
A 4,000% increase in adolescent girls accessing the Gender Identity Development Service at Tavistock is not important, we're told. Despite nothing like this increase in the adult population, we are told these girls are reacting to the availability of transition and it's a good thing. The fact a massive proportion is also autistic is not your business either.
Hostels, prisons, toilets, changing rooms, refuges... Trans women are women so why exclude them? Who among these vocal supporters has ever been in a hostel or a refuge or prison? It doesn't feel close to threatening, or real, to wonder how it is to live with Tyler Porter, enjoying the women's refuge he's accessing, as a woman, when you know you would never be in that situation, when you know your family or friends would swoop in and fight for you.
How about Katie Dolotowski, Sexually assaulting a little girl in a toilet and threatening to kill her mum if she screamed?
Or maybe we should give some thought to the women living alongside Melissa Addis in a refuge?

"melissa" Mark Addis |
Or the other cases of prisoners being raped or even having consensual sex with trans inmates? Do women in prison matter? How would you feel if your naive little sister was inside, along with Kayleigh Louise Woods, Karen White, Paris Green or Jessica Winfield?
Or, the number of sexualised insults and threats aimed at women who have fears of, erm, sexual violence?
Yeah, it must be that JK Rowling is the one filled with hatred, irrational fear etc. She's really abusing her power, trying to censor people for suggesting she doesn't care about pornography being posted on tweets that are aimed at her child readership - even when the porn is from that same group.
Certainly this is not the livid shrieks of a deeply entitled community who care as little for genuine trans people as they do women.
If none of this has swayed you, maybe you will listen to trans people.
After posing outside Rowling's home with bannners and posting the photos (with full address) on Twitter for Trans Day of Remembrance, these poor activists were victimised!

The people tweeting images of her home to protest for 'trans liberation' (whatever that is) are obviously the victims. |
